EXPLORING ABSTRACT
In this class we will explore shapes, colors, contrast, mark making and layering using paint, graphite, pens and stencils. Abstract is the best way to get your creative juices flowing. Acrylic paint is not the only medium that can be used to create abstract art, but it is the most forgiving because it is quick drying. This pairs well with the intuitive flow inherent in creating abstract images in the moment without having to wait for layers to dry. All materials are included. Class is limited to 4 persons.

BEGINNING WATERCOLOR
Watercolor is unique among paint mediums due to its inherent transparent qualities. It is one of the only mediums that once dry is not permanent. This creates opportunities and challenges that we will explore. This class will teach you the basics of watercolor paint properties, technique and color theory. We will explore color mixing, wet and dry techniques, layering and the different ways to add texture to your work. You do not need to be able draw for this class.
All materials are included and you will leave with a completed color wheel and color swatches to use for future reference plus all of the practice work on 140lb cold pressed archival watercolor paper. Classes are limited to 4 persons
